Surf surf beach in Oahu, Hawaii?
What are the beaches of Oahu, Hawaii has sand (or small reef) beachbreaks? I went to Waikiki, but there are some sharp reefs and I wish the children to navigate in safe areas. If you are looking for funds that are breaking new arena will be difficult, because it breaks the ass most popular islands are shorebreaks that are the most dangerous of the island (Waimea, Sandy, Makapu'u). I doubt you would like to take their children to any 3 point unless they have experienced. With experience, advanced surfers intermediate / bodyboarders. Hmm, a point that I surfed as a kid that was primarily a break of the sandy beach was in Kailua Kalama. It is a fun and safe break for beginners. The wave is not a quality, but it will be good training for the basics. Ali'i Beach Park in Haleiwa is a safe place for learning in the summer when the northern coast is generally flat to 3 feet. Many beginners start there. Barbers Point on the west side is a reef break, but in deeper water and your chances of getting struck the reef is very low. Even with the slowdown in the interior of Kualoa Point and the Bay of cheap (Makapu'u below) on the east side. I noticed that despite reef breaks do not necessarily mean dangerous. In fact, some of the safest on the island break are reef breaks and some of the most dangerous jumps in the sand. I'm just saying that because I bet my ass, taking their children out of Waikiki, will be much safer for them that will Makapu'u Sandy (Sandy has the highest levels of the neck / spinal injuries on the island). As mentioned anywhere newcomer to the site will be safe for children to paddle. Kalama beach in Kailua is probably the best option if you're looking to get them internal pause has no reef. Waimanalo Beach is also a place that is safe to bring children into the waves, but is more of a local bodyboard (wave tends to bend and break even in the sand)
